Halloween manager and The end of Halloween Producer/Executive Composer John Carpenter has revealed some of his current favorite video games. 74-year-old John Carpenter is best known for producing some of the best and most influential horror films, such as the aforementioned Halloween, which is still going strong after more than 40 years. However, Carpenter has largely moved away from directing in recent years, instead writing and producing films. When he’s not recording movies, Carpenter is a huge fan of video games. He has been very vocal about his love of video games for years now and has indicated that he got into the middle in the ’90s with sonic the hedgehog.
Nowadays, it prizes some of the biggest and most unique video games in the industry. When Talking to AV Club Around The end of Halloween, the conversation moved to what Carpenter is currently playing. Right now, it’s really big fallout 76, although he does not like to interact with other players because he does not want to be “shamed” by the better young players. Carpenter also expressed his love for Borderlands and Forbidden horizon westwhich he described as “amazing”. He also talked about his love for larger open world games.
“Well, that’s fun,” Carpenter said. “You’re free to walk around and do it your way. That’s what I love Drops. There is a form to follow, there are tasks, but you can do it differently. However, Carpenter isn’t huge in every open world game. Ironically, he couldn’t get in Red Dead Redemption Because of the struggle with the controls. Since Rockstar Games is the lead developer of open-world games, this is a bit of a surprise, but it’s clear that it’s starting to break out of games inspired by the Rockstar formula.
